Updates & Release Notes

This release focused on making Arcade Schoolhouse easier to discover and navigate. We improved the site's SEO, refined how the site and its content are organized, and completed a variety of smaller fixes and improvements. We also refreshed the look and layout of the Updates & Release Notes page, the About Us page, and the Support page.

We refreshed the Support FAQ to make help and guidance more useful for visitors, along with a collection of fixes and general improvements across the site.

We expanded the article library with a new list of second-conjugation Latin verbs and refreshed several existing articles.

The major feature this month was Latin Flyswatter, a zero-prep classroom game for practicing Latin grammar. Teachers can use the built-in material or copy and paste a custom list of terms to create a game for their own lesson, and we followed the launch with additional fixes and improvements.

December brought a major expansion of the article library. New resources covered Christmas songs in Latin, first-, second-, and third-declension noun lists, and a list of first-conjugation verbs, while existing articles also received updates.

Behind the scenes, we continued building upcoming classroom games and shipped security, feature, and general quality improvements across the site.

We added vocabulary from Picta Dicta 1 and 2, giving teachers and students more textbook-aligned material to use throughout the site's activities. Work also continued on upcoming classroom games, alongside other fixes and improvements.

Wheel of Parsing answers now include noun charts in both Latin and English, giving teachers a clearer reference to use while reviewing answers with their classes.

Jeopardy gained an “Our Solar System” Quick Set and now displays each question's point value on the Question and Answer screens. We also polished Jeopardy, continued work on future classroom games, and completed other fixes and improvements.

This month's classroom updates added a Multiplication Tables Quick Set to Jeopardy and a new Wheel of Parsing option focused on identifying a Latin noun's declension.

We also continued developing upcoming classroom games and shipped a range of smaller fixes and improvements.

Latin Jeopardy now supports two scoring styles: traditional increasing point values or the original format where every question is worth the same amount. We also continued work on upcoming classroom games and made other fixes and improvements.

Gingerbread Man now handles multi-part vocabulary entries more effectively. Instead of showing every part of an entry on the board and making the answer too easy to guess, the game displays only the first part.

We also added Latin for the New Millennium Level 1 vocabulary, upgraded Latin Jeopardy, refined Wheel of Parsing, and completed other fixes and improvements.

We published a step-by-step guide to printing Latin stickers and added vocabulary from Latin for Children, Primer A to the site's supported textbook material.

Development work expanded the Latin Engine to include regular verbs and moved several upcoming games forward. The release also included general fixes and improvements.

The Charts App gained Latin and English ordinals, while textbook support expanded with Latin for Children, Primer C; Latin Alive! Books 1, 2, and 3; and Suburani Book 3.

A new Articles system made it possible to publish and share Latin resources in a more organized format. Category and author views now paginate when they contain more than 12 articles, making larger collections easier to browse.

Latin Jeopardy received a major overhaul, including multiple-category support and a collection of additional features. We rounded out the release with other fixes and improvements.

We launched Wheel of Parsing to help students practice parsing Latin nouns, then expanded the game with additional parsing options for more varied classroom practice.

The site also gained a new font and an About Us page, along with style refinements, bug fixes, and other improvements.

Work continued on Latin Jeopardy 2.0, while blog pagination made older posts accessible beyond the first page.

The Charts App gained a Numbers view for quickly displaying Latin cardinals and Roman numerals in class. We also added Ecce Romani 2 vocabulary to the site's apps and completed other fixes and improvements.

We added Ecce Romani IB vocabulary to the site's apps and optimized images to improve load times. A new blog post collected online resources for Latin teachers, and the release included additional miscellaneous improvements.

Jeopardy gained a Roman Numerals Quick Set, and both Jeopardy and Gingerbread Man received a broader collection of new and improved ready-to-play game sets.

We expanded the Latin Charts App page with more feature information, added Storybook Latin – Fables vocabulary to the site's apps, and made miscellaneous improvements.

We improved the feature information available for Latin Jeopardy, the Latin Assignment Builder, and Gingerbread Man. The site's apps also gained vocabulary from Lively Latin – The Big Books 1 and 2.

New Support FAQ and subscriber Welcome pages made it easier to get started and find help. We also fixed an issue that required new subscribers to log out and back in before using their access, along with other miscellaneous improvements.

The first development log arrived alongside a major Book Selector overhaul. Textbook support expanded across the selector and all four apps with Ecce Romani 1A, Oxford Latin Course 1–3, and Minimus 1 and 2 vocabulary.

Performance work and image optimization helped pages load faster throughout the site.

We also added the Historical Look Alike freebie, published new blog posts, and completed a variety of miscellaneous improvements.
